The Accreditation Approval Committee (AAC) does not have permanent appointment or structure. ACCAB may form temporary committees or designate specific groups for accreditation approval purposes based on its operational requirements. Accreditation Approval Committee (AAC) evaluates the assessment report including- on-site, surveillance and re-assessment report and make necessary recommendation for decision on grant of accreditation.
This may be a single member committee who shall be referred to as Peer Reviewer. ACCAB ensures that peer reviewer(s) are independent and do not have any conflicts of interest with the CAB being assessed. To be eligible to serve as a peer reviewer, other than understanding of the relevant accreditation requirements an individual must have relevant experience and knowledge, competence to evaluate the outcomes of the assessment, including where appropriate related recommendations of the assessment team.
