The Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) is responsible to advice ACCAB on development of new accreditation schemes, interpretation of techno-legal regulations/documents, discussions on technical issues related to a CAB, when necessary.
The Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) does not have permanent appointment or structure. The Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) for a specific activity is formed based on suggestions from interested parties, including ACCAB personnel engaged in accreditation procedures. The defined scope of accreditation for technical areas, depicted through technical codes/classifications, and the assessment outcomes are considered. When establishing the initial composition of the TAC, the collective expertise encompassed by the codes/classifications relevant to the committee’s functions is considered. An increase in the committee’s membership might be deemed essential in alignment with the workload accomplished.
ACCAB has access to the necessary expertise for advising on accreditation-related matters. This expertise is accessible through ACCAB’s – Assessment Team Leaders, Assessors, Technical Assessors, Representatives of accredited CABs, Board of Directors, CEO, Technical Manager, Other Internal Resources could be the members of TAC. ACCAB may seek the assistance of any expert it deems necessary as an alternate mechanism to the TAC. One specialist can hold positions on several technical committees simultaneously.
